Cultural Meet-up - Promotion of Voluntarism Project
2026-01-01
To cultivate students' compassion, empathy, and respect for diverse cultural values, our school participated in the "Work Voluntarily Voluntary Work" Promotion of Voluntarism Project organized by Po Leung Kuk. Through a series of workshops, 25 students learned how to independently organize a volunteer service event for ethnic minority groups at the HOME Centre. The entire event was led and managed by the students, who were responsible for selecting the service targets, venue, procedures, and preparing all necessary materials. The students formed groups to design multicultural exchange activities, including ice-breaking games, creating the Chinese zodiac animals with clay, and making traditional Chinese lacquer fans. Participants from the HOME Centre also shared their ethnic languages and cultures. Throughout the process, the students demonstrated leadership skills, a spirit of compassion, and inclusiveness, while understanding the principle that "it is more blessed to give than to receive."
