2025-11-04

In October 2025, our students travelled to Paris, France to participate in the prestigious 2025 International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition. With remarkable performance, the team achieved:

1.     Gold Medal

2.     Nomination for the Global Best Hardware

Held from October 28 to 31, the competition attracted over 400 teams from around the world, including high schools, universities, and postgraduate groups. More than 9,000 participants attended, with 140 high school teams competing in a highly competitive environment.

Our school team proudly secured the Gold Medal, bringing honor to the school. Notably, this marks our fourth Gold Medal win, following previous victories in 2019, 2023, 2024, and now 2025. In addition, our joint school team was selected as one of the Global Top Ten Teams in both 2023 and 2024—making us the only secondary school team in Hong Kong to have received this distinction twice.

This year, our team was also nominated for the Global Best Hardware, recognizing the effectiveness and innovation of our engineered device, which has been deemed valuable for future teams as a reference model.

These achievements highlight our students’ scientific capabilities, creativity, and teamwork, and reflect the school’s ongoing commitment to excellence in science education.
