Spring Festival Gala

To help students experience the atmosphere of spring festival and cultivate a sense of national identity, the school held the "Spring Festival Gala" from 22nd to 24th January. Students were immersed in a rich festive environment filled with enjoyable festivities.

Various booths were set up for teachers and students to write spring festival couplets, drawing everyone in to craft some auspicious phrases. No carnival is complete without food, and this one was no exception. Festive snacks and candies were available for participants to enjoy, adding to the festive atmosphere. The school also partnered with a local farmer to offer delicious and healthy low-sugar pumpkin and turnip cakes made with organically grown ingredients.

In addition, workshops on festive bamboo weaving and paper quilling were held, allowing students to learn about and experience Chinese intangible cultural heritage. This helped enhance their cultural confidence while showcasing their creativity. To create a reading atmosphere, students were encouraged to write down their favorite phrases from a book and create some New Year-themed bookmarks, making the spring festival celebrations filled with joy and laughter.
