More than 30 teachers and students set off to Shaanxi and Gansu on July 1, to explore the profound local history and culture, and to communicate with the sister school Tianshui Yifu Experimental Middle School.

Teachers and students visited Tianshui City, Gansu Province from 2nd July to 3rd July. Accompanied by teachers from the sister school, Yifu Experimental Middle School, participants visited Fuxi Temple and the ancient city, thus deepening the understanding of the historical background.

Teachers and students paid a visit to the sister school, Yifu Experimental Middle School, on July 3 to communicate with Principal Ji, teachers and students, and to promote friendship between the two schools. These included a friendly table tennis match between teachers and students, and a fantastic performance by teachers and students from the two schools that combined traditional Chinese culture with Hong Kong characteristics. Finally, the exchange activity came to an end with the teachers and students singing the song "Pearl of the Orient" affectionately together. In the afternoon of the same day, teachers and students also went to Maijishan Grottoes, one of the four major grottoes in China, for a historical and cultural inspection.

From 4th July to 7th July, teachers and students returned to Xi'an from Gansu to continue their historical and cultural expedition, visiting Bell and Drum Tower Square, the ancient city wall, Daming Palace National Heritage Park, Danfengmen Site Museum, Daming Palace Underground Museum, Xi'an Museum, Daci'en Temple Ruins Park, Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Bronze Chariot and Horse Exhibition Hall, etc. Teachers and students also made small terracotta warriors and horses by themselves, and went to Muslim Street and Datang Evernight City to experience local culture and taste local food. Through the historical and cultural inspection and exchange activities, students can deepen their understanding of the country and appreciate Chinese culture.
