On 26th November 2025, Po Leung Kuk expresses profound grief over the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, which resulted in multiple casualties, including a firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured. In addition to closely monitoring the situation of our students, service users, and families in the Tai Po district schools and service units, and providing feasible counseling and support, we will also allocate financial assistance through the “Po Leung Kuk Charity Fund for the Disadvantaged” to the affected families. Furthermore, we will offer a series of emergency services to immediately support those impacted, helping everyone through this difficult time.

Po Leung Kuk will initially allocate HK$3,000,000 from the “Po Leung Kuk Charity Fund for the Disadvantaged” to provide immediate financial aid to the families of the deceased and the injured. Po Leung Kuk Lee Shau Kee Youth Oasis and the Po Leung Kuk Jockey Club Tai Tong Holiday Camp, will immediately offer emergency accommodation services. At the same time, we will coordinate with the Social Welfare Department to deploy our social work teams to provide emotional support to the affected residents.

We will continue to maintain close contact with relevant government departments to coordinate assistance efforts, ensuring that those affected receive appropriate support as soon as possible.
