Junior Form:
• To develop students perceptual abilities, with special emphasis on visual, aesthetic and arts experience; and
• To cultivate students emotions, personal refinement, morals and sense of commitment towards the nation and the world.
• To develop students visual cognition, generic skills and metacognition through art making, appreciation and criticism;
• To enable students to express personal feelings and thoughts through artistic presentations; and
• To broaden students perspectives through exploration of the arts of diverse cultures.
Senior Form:
• To enrich their aesthetics and arts experience;
• strengthen their abilities to appreciate and create various forms of visual arts workaesthetically and critically;
• To develop perceptual abilities, generic skills, multiple perspectives and metacognition through autonomous and open-ended processes of enquiry in art learning;
• enhance cultural and cross-cultural understanding through exploration of the art of diverse cultures;
• cultivate personal refinement, positive values and attitudes, self-identity and a sense of commitment towards the community, the nation and the world; and
• acquire a foundation for pursuing education and career opportunities in the art and creative industries.
