Aims

The Moral and Civic Education Committee aims at fostering students' positive values and attitudes. On this ground, it is to nurture in the students the seven priority values and attitudes: “Perseverance”, “Respect for Others”, “Responsibility”, “National Identity”, “Commitment”, “Integrity” and “Care for Others”. To accomplishment the goal, the committee would make use of everyday life events to enhance the connection among various cross-curricular domains in moral and ethical education, civic education, human rights education, national education, anti-drug education, life education, sex education, education for sustainable development, etc. so as to provide students with all-round learning experience conducive to their whole-person development.

Cultivating positive vales is our goal this year. We aim at guiding students to overcome adversity and develop positive values. Through participating in other learning experience, more students are encouraged to be volunteers in order to be self-enhanced, learn more about their rights and obligations, and bear their responsibility and foster empathy.

Strengthen collaboration with Discipline Committee, Guidance Committee and Student Affairs Committee to organize more preventive and developmental programs.The purposes are guiding students to handle the Internet information in a positive manner, helping them to relieve study pressure and face adversity, cultivating the importance of respecting life in order to offer solid support for students.

Organize ‘civil and moral channel’ with Information Technology Committee by broadcasting videos on various topics, namely moral, positive attitudes and values, empathy, commitment, civic awareness, etc. as so to develop students’ conduct, recognize national citizenship and broaden their self-learning environment.

Organize activities with professional bodies outside school to arouse civic awareness and develop international perspectives.

Through activities such as sharing in the morning assemblies, hall assemblies, visits and exhibitions, elements of moral, civic and national education, ethnic identity, and national education are infiltrated in non-academic curriculum in order to nurture students to be a responsible and quality citizen, recognize the Chinese culture and show concerns of our country. .
